There must be appropriate grounds for receiving this service. So, in order to obtain a permanent residence permit in Ukraine, it is necessary to obtain an immigration permit. It is issued only within the relevant quota. It is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of the country in accordance with the categories of immigrants. There are:

• The scientists, cultural figures. But only if their permanent residence on the territory of the country meets its interests.
• Experienced professionals with a high degree of professional qualifications, which the country needs to improve its economic situation.
• People who have invested at least 100 000 dollars in the economy. Moreover, such an investment must be carried out in foreign currency and in the order established by the Cabinet of Ministers.
• Also, a permanent residence permit can be obtained by a brother and sister who have both common parents, grandparents, grandchildren of citizens of the country.
• People who previously had the citizenship of the country.
• Parents of the person who plans to receive this document, his husband or wife, as well as his children who have not yet reached the age of eighteen.
• For 3 years they lived in Ukraine, without leaving the territory of the country, from the moment they were given the special status of victims of human trafficking.
• Permanent residence permit in Ukraine is provided to people who have served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine minimum 3 years.

In some cases, an immigration permit is also granted without obtaining a quota. Such cases are:

• Permanent residence permit in Ukraine on the basis of marriage, if it has lasted for 2 years, and at the same time one of the spouses has the citizenship of the country. Also, the document is issued to children and parents of citizens.
• People who have formalized guardianship or custody of children who are country’s citizens. In addition, the same applies to children under guardianship.
• People who can apply for citizenship on the basis of territorial origin.
• If the state is interested in the immigration of certain people.

A permanent residence permit in Ukraine gives the right to stay in the country for an indefinite time, buy the property, land, etc.
