In accordance with Article 14 of the Law of Ukraine "On Citizenship of Ukraine" get the UC in this category can:

• Children who are foreign citizens or do not have any citizenship, whose mother has Ukrainian citizenship, and whose father does not have any citizenship;
• Children who are foreign citizens or do not have any citizenship, whose father has Ukrainian citizenship, and whose mother does not have any citizenship;
• Children who do not have any citizenship, whose mother has Ukrainian citizenship, and whose father has foreign citizenship;
• Children who do not have any citizenship, whose father has Ukrainian citizenship, and whose mother has foreign citizenship;
• Children who are foreign citizens or do not have any citizenship, whose mother and father have Ukrainian citizenship;
• Children who have foreign citizenship, whose mother has UC, and whose father has foreign citizenship;
• Children who have foreign citizenship, whose father has UC, and whose mother has foreign citizenship.

To obtain UC, you need to submit:

• Application for citizenship to a child;
• copy of the child's birth certificate;
• a certificate confirming the fact that the child has foreign citizenship or the complete absence of any citizenship;
• certificates indicating the presence of UC in the mother, father or both parents;
• certificates indicating the facts of the absence of citizenship of the mother or father;
• documents that indicate the fact that the child’s mother or father has foreign citizenship;
• a statement on behalf of a child who is already 14 years old that he is not mind to receiving UC;
• 2 photos of the established size when children reach the age of seven years.

The date of receipt of the UC by the child is the moment when the registration of its acquisition was made in the relevant authorities.
