The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is introducing a new service for affixing an apostille on official documents: what you should know

To receive a new service, you need to provide the following documents:

  • a statement from the person who submits the documents;
  • the original of the document on which the apostille is affixed;
  • a document on payment for the apostille service.

Pay attention! An apostille is not affixed to the originals:

  • documents certifying identity and confirming Ukrainian citizenship;
  • documents certifying a person and confirming his special status;
  • other certificates issued in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine.

Apostille is affixed only on copies/photocopies of such documents .

An apostille is also not affixed to normative legal acts, explanations and legal conclusions regarding their application, documents that have the nature of correspondence.

The application and documents for apostillation are sent by mail to the address : 9 Volodymyrska St., Kyiv, 01001.

In case of submission of documents by a representative of a natural person, documents confirming his authority are provided.

Note that the service is paid and amounts to three tax-free minimum incomes of citizens (as of July 10, 2023, this is UAH 51). And the deadline for considering documents is up to 10 working days from the date of receipt of the application and documents required for affixing an apostille by the DMS.
